FRANCE - Nov 2012

Most of October and into November was spent at home, as reported earlier. Unfortunately the mpv buyer did not buy, so that is another thing to sort out fairly urgently.

Mid November I managed a short trip over to France via Caen, aboard the 'Normandie'.

It is still about 2 hours drive from the port to Ambrieres, and much longer on the ferry - about 6 hours on the normal ferry. ( The fastcraft to Cherbourg rarely exceeded 3 hours. )

The ferry was quite deserted.

A few minor jobs were done, the grass hover cutters changed over and the top lawn cut. I was able to adjust the door to the main living room, which was sticking, and varnish the bare wood.

Chris and Julie came over on the Friday, and I went to the library on the Saturday morning for computer access. I was at Sara and Tone's on the Sunday. On the Monday evening I went over to Chris and Julie in Domfront. On the Tuesday I went to Chantrigné with Sara and Tone.

All in all the time passed quickly.

The journey back to the ferry at Caen was quicker than anticipated, and I had about 3 or more hours to wait since the ferry was also late leaving Caen.
