Little words mean a lot. These words are often mixed up, particularly when describing a location. Some examples:

I live in England, in Portsmouth, at 25 West Road. The building is on the left side of the road and I live on the top floor of the building in a flat.

The chemist can be found at 34 Broadway, in a little yellow painted shop.

He put his feet .... on the table ......... in the water ......

He put his hat on his head ..... He had many thoughts in his head.

Get in ( or into ) a car...... but, .... Get on a bicycle, an aeroplane, a bus,

Think about .... On the water .... in the water .... at the water

The boat was on the water, The man was in the water The horse stopped at the water.
