Spain - December - January 2015

After being picked up on Monday morning by Sue and Pete I went down to an early Birthday celebration, with Carol and Keith, before being taken to a Thai restaurant for a very pleasant meal in the evening.

Sue and Pete dropped me off at Gatwick on Tuesday 9th December, and I went to Spain. First to the Hotel Kaktus, Albir, and then spent Christmas and New Year at the Hotel Port Denia, before returning to Gatwick and home, on 6th January, once again thanks to Sue and Pete.

Problems with the passport recognition machines, thus late baggage collection and the mobile phone deciding not to work when I was on the wrong level for pick up, adding to the difficulties of the return meeting!

At both hotels there were many friends and aquaintances from previous years, although sadly some had died.The weather was excellent and dry, although there were two or three windy days.

The usual markets were in full spate, and the usual excursions were generally running - although I avoided some and used the coach transport outwards only for others, returning under my own steam.

A video slideshow will be put up as soon as time permits - I decided against yet more videoclips of the excursions and local attractions, since there are already many on patrickclips over the years. Little has changed - except speed humps !
