France - June ... July 2016

After attending Pete's 70th Birthday BBQ, and creosoting part of the front fence, I arrived in France on June 14th, in time for the Gorron music festival the following weekend. The event was poorly attended, but Carys was singing and playing guitar, so I managed a few pictures.

Needless to say, the grass needed cutting ! The weather conditions in France have been poor ... although reasonably dry ... it was humid - encoraging the grass and weeds to grow rapidly.

The usual boot fairs ( vide greniers ) were visited with Sara and Tony.

Chris and Lou were over for a few days during the first weekend, and later Carol and Brian Gumbleton were over and a trip was made to Fougeres, before a BBQ at Sara and Tony's.

We also visited the local "show" at Brecé, and various meals out were had.

The saving grace was the TV - with Grand Prix motor racing and tennis - Silverstone GP and the finals at Wimbledon were watched when I returned to the UK, along with the EURO 2016 football finals ( France v Portugal )
