FRANCE ..... November 2013

A short visit was made in November to tidy up the grass and garden, prune the vine, and finish the lower wall. I managed the first two although the long grass was wet - but not the wall.

Due to the shortness of the trip I made use of the Moulin de Beslay, in Cigné, on a couple of days for eating. What with visits, to Sara and Tone, Julie and Chris, and Le Chat Noir for their Big Breakfast - time passed very quickly. Le Chat Noir is going to start weekday lunches.

Despite feeling rough with my eye, I went over to Le Barius open evening on the first Thursday.

On the Friday, after lunch at La Petite Reigniere, I managed to cut the grass - I had just finished the upper grass when the flymo stopped working, ( now dumped ).

The exertion also put me out of action for a day !

On Sunday, although my eye was very sore, I had a lamb lunch at La Petite Reigniere.

Later, on Sunday afternoon, I went over to Julie and Chris to see progress - the roof work being almost finished - and another meal !

With the wall and windows painted, the house was now starting to look quite smart.

Monday saw me in Mayenne, shopping, before going over in the evening to La Petite Reigniere to watch a 3D movie, to see developments on the 12 volt conversion project, and to take a picture of the front of the house with the pointing now done.

Tuesday morning was spent packing and loading the car for the return journey - fine in France but horrendous in England, ( see PUG 107, page 2 ). I arrived home just after midnight - a long day.
