France - September - October 2015
After a week sorting out multi trip travel insurance, and a week cutting trees and gardening, I eventually went back to France on 23rd September, for two weeks.
.....
Although being sick for the last couple of days in England, I ate at L'Imprévu on Wednesday 23rd, having been delayed by detours round Couterne due to major roadworks. Heather and Kris were at Sara and Tony's on the following day when I called by on the way for shopping at Gorron later in the morning.
I perhaps overdid it in the garden in the afternoon - cutting both upper and lower grass - and I didn't feel too good afterwards !
Saturday, Carys was playing at Mantilly. I went over to see her perform, but in the end I didn't stay, stopping off for a pizza at Passais la Conception on the way - but ending up with a beef casserole and chips. Sunday, after a Vide Grenier in Gorron, there was a "lunchtime" BBQ and Pizza get together at La Petite Reigniere - duly attended.

Carys played in a large lorry - parked outside the bar in Mantilly.

On the Monday I went to Mayenne with Sara. I ate at L'Imprevu on the Tuesday and met a former teacher of Carys, - and Daniel as I was leaving. Daniel ( Next door, doing the major alterations, see earlier months ) had given me a physalis from his garden earlier - later I found some similar growing on the steps up the lane to the back of me.

Wednesday we (Sara, Tony and I ) met up with Heather and Kris - who had cycled from Loré - at Chantrigné, for lunch. We were joined by Margaret and Ian - Margaret being from well back ( Keltie days ), who used to live at Ceacé, now Gorron. On the Friday I introduced Heather and Kris to L'Imprevu for steak/frites ... they insisted on paying !
They left the following day to return home, but also called in to see Sara and Tony who had gone up to the boat, since the tides were right. They had a meal and a walk since the weather was ok further up the coast. Here it had rained over night ... then was sunny and still, when I took the opportunity to cut the upper and lower grass for the last time this year. It then clouded over again, and was misty the following morning - so I opted out of a vide grenier.
Sara and Tony were back for a meal at their place on Sunday, after picking up Carys at Flers on the way back - they demonstrated their bio-ethanol ventures.

They joined me for a final meal at L'Imprevu on the Monday - since I was going back to the UK on the Tuesday.
