September 7th to 17th 2003 in France

As day breaks the maize is cut for silage on the next door farm. Sara and the girls later went " gleaning " ....... The chicken fed well.

After setting up accounts for electricity and water, I started work on my house. Broken window glass was replaced and much rubbish removed.

Tony cut tiles to finish the living area floor, and the cupboard was removed at the kitchen end ready for a new insert . When the wall lining plasterboard was given a first wash it greatly improved the look of things.

I tidied up the area under the stairs, then started the shower room and toilet enclosure .

Sara grouted out the tiles whilst I re hung the toilet door and put wall studding in place, ready for boarding.

Hot water is now available with the water heater firmly fixed to the wall, ( thanks again to Tony ) and is ready for when the shower is installed. There is still much electric wiring to be sorted out and fitments to be added !

The outside was tidied and some pruning done ( more needed )

Sunday ..... and an afternoon trip to nearby spa town of Bagnoles de l'Orne where there was an Autumn Gourmand exhibition, festival and market.
