More Gibraltar ..... and Ronda, Spain.

From the Mosque, near the most southerly point ... and up to the top of the Rock on the Cable Car, from where there are good views of southern Spain, Gibraltar itself, and of Africa, some 5 km to the south.

No need to say who has the best view, there are now some six families of apes on the Rock. They even have their own room in a Gibraltar hospital in the event of accident.

The Gibraltar / Spanish frontier is a simple affair, although over the years it has played a big part in politics. But access in and out is now good, apart from the usual queues at rush hour. It was possible to walk from the hotel over the Gibraltar Airport runway into La Linea, Spain , in about half an hour.

A trip was made to Ronda, in Spain, famous for the Tajo gorge and bridge, and commanding views.

Ronda , considered to be the mecca of bullfighting in Spain, dates back in time , through the Arab invasions of Spain to Roman days.

And so back to Gibraltar, approached from Spain.
